About Me

I am 3 years older than the kennel itself and I have grown up with all kinds of dogs around me. I started at a very early age to nag my parents about having a dog of my own but unfortunately I wasn't that lucky. I was told that the responsibility was too much for a child to handle so at that time I had to settle with being a dogwalker for the neighbourhood dogs. I personally thought that it was just as much fun to "dogsit" small breeds as it was to walk the larger breeds and we always became friends quickly, the dogs and I.

But I never gave up hope of one day owning my very own dog and finally; in June 1974 I got my first ever Bedlington terrier,

Blue Light Monich. Unfortunately she was never shown on any dog shows.

Soon, after Monich had grown into a proper lady I wanted to have puppies on her so I asked her breeder, Erling Strandheim, to borrow a male from him. He loaned me INT.DT.LUXB.CH Charm CS Ullien. On the papers he stood as the breeder so they could use the name of the kennel, Blue Light.

In 1987 two beautiful blue girls saw the light of day for the first time and of course I kept them both! Blue Light Melissa unfortunately injured her foot so she couldn't be shown. Her sister, Blue Light Milena quickly became a Norwegian Champion.

In 1985 I bought the sandy male Blue Light's Arico, who also got the title Norwegian Champion

I have had both 2 Belgian Sheperds and 3 Rottweilers together with my Bedlises and they have gotten along perfectly.

In 1991 I got the blue male Blue Light's Superstar, he too became a Norwegian Champion.

Then Erling went to Sweden and brought home the beautiful little sandy bitch Fracas Lovely Dream for me. This little lady managed quickly to receive two Cert and a CACIB

NUCH Blue Light's Superstar and Fracas Lovely Dream were the two greatest building blocks that my breeding is based on and from those two I have gotten two litters (See under litters)

The kennel's latest HP in Breeder's Class was judged by Michael Kirby, Ireland;

Very happy with the breed type. Very typical for the breed. Conformation generally is very good. Movement for most of them excellent. Temperament very typical. All the dogs excellent presented.

I want to thank kennel Blå Skuggan, Ann-Marie & Rolf Lyberg, for a great partnership and for the two great dogs I have bought from them:

Blå Skuggans After Dark (Alfred), who, in a short matter of time, got the titles N.SUCH Nord UV-02, and Blå Skuggans Bright'n'Beauty (Lina), who became NV-02 only 10 months old. She too, of course, was Norwegian Champion

N.SUCH Nord UV-02 Bla Skuggans After Dark was also the most winning Bedlington in 2002 and 2003 while NUCH NV-02 Bla Skuggans Bright’N’Beauty was the best achieved bitch in 2002 and 2003. Both dogs are tested healthy.

My latest import is from Scotland, from kennel Honeymist and Shirley Davies. Honeymist Norway Nights (Nova) is also a great representative for the breed. She too is healthy

I never got the opportunity to go to Scotland and pick out a puppy so I trusted Mrs. Davies to pick out a puppy I could use for both showing and breeding and I was far from disappointed! So I thank Mrs. Davies for the elegant liver lady she sent me.

These dogs are the building blocks for my breeding and I am grateful for each and everyone of them.
